Accra Fashion Week 2026 Dates and Headlining Designers Announced
The organizers of Accra Fashion Week have officially unveiled the dates and headlining designers for the 2026 edition of Ghana's premier fashion event. Scheduled to run from June 12 to June 15 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, the event will showcase collections from over forty designers representing Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and the global diaspora. This year's theme, 'Roots and Routes,' celebrates the intersection of traditional African textiles and contemporary global fashion trends.
Among the headlining designers confirmed for the runway are Christie Brown, Pistis Ghana, Larry Jay, and emerging talent Kwame Adusei, whose avant-garde take on kente-inspired streetwear has been generating significant buzz in international fashion circles. The event will also feature a dedicated showcase for student designers from the Ghana Institute of Fashion, providing a platform for the next generation of Ghanaian fashion creatives to present their work to industry buyers and media from around the world.
Beyond the runway shows, Accra Fashion Week 2026 will host a series of panel discussions, workshops, and networking events focused on the business side of African fashion. Topics will include sustainable textile production, building fashion brands for export markets, and leveraging social media for brand growth. International fashion journalists from Vogue, Elle, and The Business of Fashion have confirmed their attendance, underscoring the growing global interest in West African fashion innovation.
Sponsorship for the event has reached record levels, with major brands including Guinness Ghana, MTN, and Ghana Commercial Bank signing on as principal partners. Organizers expect over five thousand attendees across the four-day event, including buyers from major department stores in London, Paris, and New York. Ticket sales have opened online, with day passes and full-event packages available. The event promises to be a landmark moment for Ghanaian fashion on the world stage.
