Veteran dancehall musician, Yoggy Doggy has referred to fellow musician, Mr. Logic as a comic artiste.
The name calling came while Yoggy was commenting on the battle between himself and Logic as to whom best deserves the “Father of Ghanaian Dancehall” title in an interview with Sammy Flex, host of Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda.
During his submissions, Doggy indicated that, Logic does not deserve the title “Dancehall Dada”, as he does not have a hit song.
He pointed out that, Logic’s reign as a dancehall musician was short-lived as he only has one single, which only thrived amongst the youth of Dansoman back in the day.
According to him, not up to 5% of the percentage of dancehall enthusiasts in Ghana have any knowledge of Logic’s songs.
“How can you be a dancehall dada if you have no hit songs. He does not deserve it, his song was only a hit in Dansoman 20 years ago”, he stated.
He added that, after years of monitoring the works of dancehall musicians in Ghana subsequent to his long absence from music scenes, Logic comes nowhere close to earning the self acclaimed title.
He acknowledged the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Samini as some names that have helped sustained the genre over the years.
