Residents of the Woase community in the Kintampo North District, have called on authorities to provide them with social amenities in order to make their livelihood comfortable.
The residents stated that they lack good roads, health centres, electricity, schools and potable drinking water in their community.
“We have sent persistent appeals to the Assemblyman and other opinion leaders of the community but that has not yielded any positive result”, a resident lamented.
An Assembly Member for Woase, Mr J.K Asumah, stated that the present leadership of the council has not carried out any developmental project in the area therefore deem it necessary for the government to focus on rapid infrastructural projects.
He stressed that the community has been neglected in the share of infrastructure across the country and therefore needed to be addressed without delay.
“I’m calling on the government to assist the community in the construction of a new toilet facility and also renovate existing one which has not seen any renovation for several years”, he stressed.
Mr Asumah further lamented that the community’s source of potable water was three stand pipes which has being in existence for years therefore not reliable.
He added that the Municipal Assembly was also failing on their path to ensure the provision of these essential amenities since the new leadership took over the assembly.
