Nigeria’s Wizkid sparked a stir on Instagram yesterday after he posted an image of the cover art of his album “Super Star” in celebration of its 7th anniversary since its release.
The debut album, released on the 12th of June 2011, with songs such as Love My Baby, Pakuromo and Tease Me, “Superstar”, got him seven nominations and four awards.
The musician who was a headline act at the just ended Ghana Meets Naija concert, asked his followers to comment with their favorite song on the album.
Earlier this year, the singer hinted of working on a new album, even though his previous album “Songs From The Other Side” which received massive global success, has only lasted a year.
However, because the album was to satisfy the international market, it earned a low success rate in Africa, as most songs on the album were deemed as been unfamiliar to the African music space.
He has revealed that his upcoming album is titled MADE IN LAGOS, contains 10 tracks, without any features.
He has been named by Forbes Africa in their 2018 list of individuals under 30 making waves in Africa.
He dazzled fans as he made history again when his concert at the O2 Arena in London was sold out.
