After news broke last week that the Brong Ahafo Music Awards (BAMA), did not come off as scheduled, Sammy Flex, host of Showbiz Agenda reached out to Joshua Anemi, CEO and Founder of J Black Code Events, organizers of the scheme.
According to Joshua, the event was cancelled because they were faced with challenges in securing a venue for the night.
Meanwhile, Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda has reached out to Robert Mensah, the general manager of the Eusbett International Conference Centre in Sunyani, the allocated venue for the event.
Speaking to host, Sammy Flex, he explained that, the organizers of the event failed to hold up their end of the bargain.
Robert also mentioned that, he thought the show was cancelled until the venue was announced in commercials running on radio and on social media.
He said, “the agreement was that they settled the money a month before the scheduled date, but for over a month we had not heard from them. We thought they had changed their mind till we saw our venue in their adverts”
He stated that, Joshua and his team required that, officials collected money from fans who had attended the show in order to settle the payment for the venue, which was unheard of.
He explained that this was one of the key factors which caused the organizers of BAMA to be denied access to the event venue.
However, Joshua revealed on Zylofon FM that, the scheme has been postponed to the 21st of September this same year.
