Showbiz critique, Kwame Dadzie has petitioned stakeholders of the industry to meet with the administration of the current government to help address the current challenges of the showbiz industry.
This assertion came after deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi in an interview, made a U-turn on the government’s promise to construct theaters in regions outside Accra to propel the industry.
According to Kwame, the ministry is clearly not being honest with the industry and are taking stakeholders for granted.
He called on his colleagues to meet with government officials to lay down concerns and demand a resolution.
Furthermore, he mentioned that, when questioned at the “Meet With The Press” event held by the Ministry of Information in January, as to whether the project is underway, they replied in the affirmative.
“The Minister for Tourism made us understand that, they are collaborating with private institutions to construct the theaters “, he alluded.
Dadzie also mentioned that, the ministry promised the industry nothing less than several grand theaters, however, if this project can’t be achieve, it is best to be truthful to Ghanaians, than to play on our intelligence.
