Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known in showbiz as Bullet, manager of the late Ebony Reigns, responding to claims that Shatta Wale asked for payment from him in exchange for his performance at Ebony’s tribute concert following a Facebook post from Bullet himself has said that the artiste in question was not Shatta Wale. Bullet yesterday in a Facebook post said, “some of our Ghanaian artiste are very hypocrite, you came to Ebony’s one week observation because the numbers were there and again it was being telecast live on air and some of you came there to use the platform.” “Now, you are asking me to pay you for her tribute concert,I thought you loved her as you claimed you did on stage at her one week, this is pure hypocrisy.” “Big ups to all the artistes who have decided to support us, we are very grateful.” Speaking to Sammy Flex of Zylofon 102.1 FM on the Showbiz Agenda show, Bullet trashed claims that the artiste in question was Shatta Wale and that he refuses to mention the name of the artiste. He said “ People are saying on social media that it is Shatta Wale, it is not Shatta Wale please, I will reveal the artiste after the show.” However, when asked if the artiste could be Yaa Pono, Bullet only reaffirmed that he will not mention the name of the artiste yet.According to the manager of the 'taking over' hitmaker, Shatta Wale, Julio Cyriaan oOlympio, Shatta could not perform at the concert because he will not be in the country on the said date and as of today, 16th June he has already left Ghana. The concert is said to have been slated for Friday, March 23rd,organized by Ruff Town Entertainment, in collaboration with the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Kasapreko Company Limited in honor of the late Ebony Reigns whose sad demise happened on the 8th of February this year. According to the organizers the concert will be held at the Trade Fair Centre and some of the artistes billed for the concert are, Becca, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, VIP, R2bees, Edem, Feli Nuna and many more.According to Bullet, none of the artiste who were present at Ebony’s one week observation pledged support in cash or kind, but rather changed the course of the event, he added that most of the artistes wanted to perform at the event and therefore turned the entire event into a show. However, there have been a few companies who are supporting them after the demise of the dancehall songstress. Bullet also noted that, money raised at the concert is geared towards supporting the family of the fallen star and also towards the launch of a foundation in Ebony’s name in support of victims of accidents. Speaking on the same interview, Bullet confirmed that Ebony had finalized a contract with Kasapreko as well as Hi5chocho malt before her sudden death but Kasapreko has since her passing been very supportive.
