Progressive Countries Don’t Put Their Languages Secondary; Kojo Antwi Calls On Leaders To Put Ghanaian Languages First

Legendary Ghanaian highlife artiste, Kojo Antwi has made a call on Ghanaian leaders to find a way to put our Ghanaian languages first, and not secondary to English. He made this call this morning on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra.

According to the legend, progressive countries do not put their languages secondary to other languages.

“Progressive countries do not put their languages secondary to other countries’ languages. Our leaders should find a way to put our languages first”, he told Dr. Cann.

Kojo Antwi further mentioned that colonizers have diluted and polluted our history by telling our stories for us. According to him, the black man has been made to feel incapable of progress and that is mostly because our history told by whites make us nothing.

“Before they diluted and polluted our history, we were progressive and civilized. Their history makes us nothing” he added.

The Ace musician further cited that black men built Egypt and pyramids before invasion of our lands by black men. He therefore encouraged Ghanaians to believe in themselves and put their culture first.
