Poetra Asantewaa´s ¨Poetry And Music With Poetra Asantewaa¨ Comes Off In London


Young rising writer and poet, Poetra Asantewaa is the main act and brain behind the ¨Poetry and Music with Poetra Asantewaa¨ event, which is to be hosted by Tarek Mouganie and Bibi Bakare-Yusuf and scheduled at 5pm on Sunday 24 June, 2018 in London at the Mercato Metropolitano, 42 Newington Causeway.

A poet, writer and occasional singer, Poetra uses a vibrant mix of music and spoken word to bring her art to life.

Her work, both as a poet and writer, touch on issues relating to self-realization, feminism, inequality, and womanhood, such as in her stunning and thought provoking spoken word piece, Love Yourself.

She is the co-founder of Black Girls Glow, a collaborative platform for female artists, and LoveRocks – a nonprofit to lead educational programs for youth.

She’s also the founder of Tampered Press, a new arts and literary journal to highlight the work of Ghanaian writers and visual artists.
