Dancehall artiste, Epixode, known in real life as Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo has cleared the air on the alleged scuffle between him and some police officers at the weekend saying that the incident as not for hype.
The ‘Avatar’ hitmaker was spotted in a viral video, in some exchanges with men purported to be police officers at Tema on his way for a meeting last Saturday.
Speaking to Sammy Flex on Zylofon 102.1 FM’s Showbiz Agenda on October 22, Epixode believed that the police heckled him because they did not know of his identity then.
He added that he did not commit any offence, neither did any of his team members.
Recounting the incident, Epixode said that the whole situation began when the police confronted his team, supposedly carrying out their duties.
He attributed the unfortunate incident however, to the stereotype against people with dreadlocks (Rasta).
