My Looks Still Represent My Brand Despite My Name Change – Anokye Supremo

Anokye Supremo, formally known as DL Junior, look-alike of legendary highlife artiste Daddy Lumba, says his looks still represent his brand despite changing his name.

In an interview on Zylofon 102.1 FM, Anokye said though he has changed his name but his appearance, which is a striking resemblance of Daddy Lumba still represents his brand.

“I cannot change the way I look. That is my brand, even before the lawsuit this has always been my brand. Changing my name has not affected that in anyway”, he explained

Celebrated highlife artiste, Daddy Lumba, sued Kwame Anokye who was known in music circles as Daddy Lumba Jnr. for impersonating his brand.

According to the young artiste, who has always taken inspiration from Daddy Lumba, he decided to change his name to save him the wrath of his ‘godfather.

However, Anokye says he still looks up to Daddy Lumba and has considered him a mentor since 1997.

He said, “I consider it an honor when I am attributed to the highlife legend. It gives me joy when people tell me I look like him.”
