The search for the next queen to be crowned Miss Ghana 2018 was launched today at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
The organizers of the pageant, Exclusive Events Ghana, launched the ceremony to lay the foundation for the various auditions around the country to select finalists for the main event.
Inna Patty, Chairperson of the Miss Ghana Foundation, disclosed that the auditions of Miss Ghana 2018 would start in the next two weeks. Adding that this year the pageant will be opened up to Ghanaians in the Diaspora.
She also emphasized that the focus of the Miss Ghana pageant was on social service and not rewards (cash or crown).
Under the Miss Ghana Foundation, the Miss Ghana pageant has, over the years, carved an impressive niche as a pageant that generates awareness on various socio-economic problems, collaborating with government institutions and corporate firms in sending relief to various deserving communities across the country.
The event was graced by Miss Ghana & Mr. Ghana 2016, the Queen of Dansoman Naa Kwaanyo, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Abeiku Santana, Doreen Avio, Nana Osim Kwatia II, the Director of foreign affairs Baaba Addo and other media personalities.
