Plus size actress, Belinda Dzattah says she has not been denied any role, since her debut in the movie industry in Ghana.
The actress, who shot to fame after her role in movies like “Chelsea“, “If You Were Mine“, “Why Should I Get Married“, “In April“, “Royal Diadem“, “Black and White“ and others, stated that no producer has rejected her for the simple reason that she is too “fat”.
“I don’t have a problem landing roles in movies. Though I am plus sized, I still get called. My weight has nothing to do with anything. If the producer knows what he wants, he will get the right people to fit the role”, she asserted in an interview with Neeta of Zylofon 102.1 FM.
According to Belinda, who was at the AU Arts Festival held last Friday at the Golden Tulip, she has starred in three movies in the first half of 2018, one in Ghana and two in Nigeria.
She further stressed that, directors should avoid discrimination, and rather look out for people who have talent, and can portray the said role perfectly.
