Music producer and sound engineer, Appiah Danquah, popularly known as Appietus, has claimed glory for the barring of Nigerian music from the Ghanaian market.
In a discussion on Zylofon FM with Sammy Flex, he stated that after years of enjoying airplay on our radio and television stations, Nigerian music faded out in Ghana because he started producing more hit songs.
“I can boldly say that I drove Nigerian music out of the Ghanaian market. For a long time, Nigerian music was on every single station till I decided to put in efforts to produce more bangers”, he said.
During his submissions, he pointed out that, the reason why Nigerian music is still on the Ghanaian market, is because Ghanaians are too quick to accept foreign ideas and products over indigenous ones.
