Born Francesca Duncan Williams, Ghanaian artiste Sista Afia has revealed in an exclusive interview on Zylofon 102.1 FM that though her job in London can’t be compared to music, she does not regret resigning from her job to pursue music as her career.
“I quit my job in London to come do music in Ghana and I can say music pays. It is not that bad but it can’t be compared to the work I was doing in London. I never thought I would follow my dreams and working in London wasn’t something I really wanted to do.
My intention was to do music just for fun and not get anything out of it but then I realized I’m getting something out of it. I feel excited within myself though it can’t be compared to the work I was doing in London. I intend working with a bigger brand and I have even recorded songs with two big artistes in London so will try and spread my music across London.” She said on ‘Showbiz Agenda’ with Sammy Flex.
Sista Afia is set to launch her maiden album on Saturday, December 1, 2018. The album dubbed ‘Queen Solomon’ will be launched at the West Hills Mall in Accra and features artistes like Kelvyn Boy, Bisa Kdei, Shatta Wale, Medikal and others.
