Known to be one of the key pace setters in Ghana-Nigeria collaborations, seasoned Ghanaian musician, Tic has revealed why his songs made hits in Nigeria back in the day.

The ”Kwani Kwani” hit maker, in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon 102.1 FM divulged that, he was able to penetrate the Nigerian market because of the quality of his songs.

“My songs travelled to Nigeria because they spoke for themselves.”, he indicated.

He added that, because of the nature of his songs, they made waves in Nigeria before promotional works for his songs started there.

When asked if the new crop of artistes are finding it hard to build a strong fan base in Nigeria because of the poor quality of their songs, Tic replied in the negative.

According to him, Ghanaian music has always been enjoyed by Africans but most Ghanaian artistes are reluctant to follow up on promotions for their songs outside the country.
