UK based Ghanaian musician, Fuse ODG has expressed appreciation to the organizers of the Black Entertainment for finaly acording African musicsians with due respect as they do other artistes.
Fuse, real name Nana Richard Abiona revealed on Zylofon 102.1 FM that he considers Davidi accepting his BET award on stage as a sublime gesture by the organizers of the scheme.
“We are finally getting the respect we deserve. I appreciate BET’s for that”, he stated.
Davido, happens to be the first international act nominee to receive his award live on stage, during the main Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards since the inception of that category in 2010, after several complaints about discrimination from African artistes.
In 2015, the “Million Pound Girl” hitmaker, who was nominated for the same category at the BET’s, ditched the show because he deemed the organizers of the scheme as disrespectful to African acts, however, he has finally laid his mind to rest on the issue.
