One Corner hitmaker, Patapaa Amisty has stated unequivocally that he is the biggest artiste in Ghana at present.
“I am the biggest and most relevant artiste now in Ghana. I am becoming even stronger. I am in France currently touring. This year, I would be shooting 75 videos. A very big one is coming soon, sponsored by Adebayor.”
The budding artiste, who now prefers to be known as Patapeezy in a live video, expressed his profound gratitude to Funny Face for introducing him to one of Africa’s biggest football legends, Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor.
“I am very thankful to Funny Face. He gave me the name Patapeezy after the VGMAs. The name suits me well and I love it. Infact, no one should call me Patapaa again. The new name is Patapeezy. Also, through him, I know Adebayor now. God bless you so much, Funny Face.”
Confirming the statement on Zylofon 102.1fm on Showbiz Agenda, ace comedian, Funny Face said: “Patapaa is a humble and very talented person. Adebayor has planned to help him after seeing him a couple of times. He promises to take Patapaa to top designer Dolce&Gabana for a sewn designer coat and also help with a video shoot. I am only a middle man (between Patapaa and Adebayor).”
Patapaa, after his One Corner hit single, has gained prominence in the Ghanaian music industry, and even on the international scene.
However, after the 2018 VGMAs when he was denied the Popular Song of the Year award, Patapaa became even more influential, making collaborations here and there.
