I Am Not A Ghetto Artiste – Gasmilla

Hiplife artiste, Odartei Milla Lamptey known by his stage name, Gasmilla has rebuffed claims that his style of music is only intended for the people within the coastal areas of the city.

The International Fisherman referred to himself as an all round musician, whose music is targets masses.

He alluded that, though most of his songs are commercial, they carry important messages.

The “Telemo” hitmaker claimed, “My songs preach a lot. Even if it seems like they are only danceable tunes, they have important messages.”

According to him, because most of his lyrics are in the local[Ga] dialect, he is considered as local, however, his songs have earned him international recognition.

“I understand why some say I am a ghetto musician, but it is this same ghetto music that has taken me international”, he added.

Gasmilla has thrilled the nation with hits like, Akesomoshi, Joo, China, Telemo, Ohiema and a hoard of other songs
