GHAMRO Is For Broke Artistes – Chief Charles

Founder of and host of Zylofon Studio, Charles Nelson, affectionately called Chief Charles, says the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) is purposely for broke musicians.

“All A-list musicians who are enjoying the prime of their career do not take a penny from GHAMRO. The organization is there to serve broke musicians”, he said.

He spoke during a discussion on Zylofon FM’s morning program, Showbiz Agenda, where he outrightly expressed his dissatisfaction with the affairs of the organization.

“Personally I think GHAMRO is a joke. Not everyone may agree with me but, all their actions clearly outline their flaws as an organization”, he added.

During his submission, Chief Charles said GHAMRO is unable to provide records dated five years ago under claims, that past administrations did not keep proper records and this according to him, does not make the organization a serious one.
