Ghanaian actor, Ken Fiati says disintegration within the movie industry is one of the reasons why the sector is not growing.
He mentioned that, the movie industry is suffering because stakeholders of the sector are not coming together to champion a common interest.
Ken said various organizations within the industry is working towards personal gains, and not the good of the entire industry.
“We are not working together. Everyone is trying to do things for their own good”, he lamented.
Fiati’s submissions came after the film industry summit, where the sector’s name was changed from Ghallywood to Ghollywood.
He said the Film Directors Guild of Ghana did not consult anyone before rebranding the industry.
The actor, who doubles as the communications director for the Actors Guild of Ghana has called on all stakeholders of the industry to join forces to save the rather dying industry.
