Mr. Logic has disclosed to Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda how he managed to place Shatta Wale in the spotlight.
The former manager of Shatta, says he played a very crucial part in the musician’s success, boosting the latter’s relevance when he was still a struggling artiste.
Logic, who parted ways with Shatta over alleged breach of contract claims, said his team from Bad Boys Records, supported the latter’s career when no one will.
He alluded, “I approached him when he was still Bandana. I saw a talented man and we wanted to build something great out of him and we worked hard at it”, he stated.
He stated that, his team strategized carefully to put Shatta, then Bandana’s brand in the spotlight.
He admittedly said although at the time, Samini was the reigning king of dancehall he managed to dethrone him.
“Then, Samini was on top, but we overthrew him”, he confessed.
He further said, “I personally paid several DJ’s during the Easter festivities to play Shatta’s “Dancehall King” song simultaneously, when the song first came out. And that was how come the song became a hit”
Shatta Wale earned his first ever nomination in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, while he was under Logic’s wings, which brought him much recognition.
