Producer, director and actor Kobi Rana premiered his movie “my name is ramadan” at the silverbird cinema, Accra mall last Friday, 15th June, 2018 where the movie recorded impressive numbers on a day which saw our muslim families celebrate Eid Mubarak.
Its not always a record-breaking attendance with a Kobi Rana movie premiere but there’s always impressive numbers which the award-winning director needs to be commended for.
One of the main highlights from the movie premiere was about Moesha Boduong whose red carpet video captured by zylofonmediaonline.com got people talking and some fans attacking Moesha’s personality.
Somewhere around 8:40pm, we spotted actor Umar Krupp making his way into one of the cinemas at silverbird with his entourage, about five(5) of them. They were paused at the entrance and the next thing we saw from the popcorn selling point we were comfortably standing was a sudden heated argument between the actor and the security.
Umar, who recently won four(4) awards at the just ended golden movie africa awards was heard complaining about the fact that, the security cannot say to him that they(the security) don’t know him and also the fact that he plays a major role in the movie which was premiering at that particular moment.
The altercation continued for a while until one of the cast from the movie dragged Umar into the washroom. Though the actor had left the scene, his entourage were not impressed with how their friend was treated and took matters into their own hands. The argument started again and almost saw a fight break out.
The man of the moment, Kobi Rana came in after a while to save the situation with Umar still outraged. They were later allowed into the cinema and situations calmed.
