“Uber Driver” hit maker, Wendy Shay has said in a recent interview that, she considered the late Ebony Reigns as a younger sister before she died.
The newest act on the Ruff Town record label, says she met the “Maame Hwe” singer not long before her demise, and they had some kind of relationship.
She revealed to Abeiku Santana that, as a prospect to be signed onto the label, she attended most shows which had artistes from the label, and that was when she met Ebony.
“She was like a kid sister to me. I met her at one of her shows and our relationship took off from there”, she stated.
Just after months of being introduced by Ruff Town record boss, Bullet, at the 2018 VGMA’s, Wendy has grown to be one of the most trending female musicians in the country.
However, most people have tagged her as Ebony’s replacement, as per popular perception, her persona reminds music lovers of the fallen star.
Wendy Shay says she has no problem with people who compare her to Ebony.
According to her, they are both alike in so many ways, they are from the same “home”[Ruff Town Records] and fans may see a little of Ebony in her.
Wendy is currently promoting her second song, “Bedroom Commando”.
