Entertainment pundit and host of Vibes In 5, Arnold Elavanyo Mensah has labelled the Deputy Minister of Tourism Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi a confused man, following his contradiction of the ministry’s promise to the showbiz industry.
Contrary to what was said in his party’s manifesto regarding the setting up ultra modern theaters to support the showbiz industry, Dr Ziblim Barri Iddi revealed in an interview at the 2018 edition of the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards in Lagos-Nigeria that, the New Patriotic Party did not promise to build theaters in all ten regions of the country during the 2016 general election campaign.
During a discussion on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM on the subject, Arnold mentioned that, in a bid to play on the intelligence of Ghanaians, Dr Ziblim ended up confusing himself.
Arnold advised the minister to review the NPP’s manifesto over again in order to gain a better understanding of what their promises to the industry were.
He said, “he should read over the manifesto several times, so he knows how to answer questions about it better.”
The regular pundit on the show, further called the minister out on his failure to heed to the media’s call following his statement.
“After he muddied the water, he has refused to speak on the issues”, he stressed.
He further opined that, it is about time the Creative industry accepted the fact that, they are a private body and work as such, because the government has proven repeatedly not to care about them.
