The outcry of the public to the government pleading that attempts to close down Menzgold be halted took another turn today September 14, as a pressure group by name COLLATION OF CONCERNED YOUTH OF GHANA organized a demonstration to trumpet their plea.
According to the demonstrators their actions was in solidarity with Menzgold and Nana Appiah Mensah.
Demonstrators carried placards with inscriptions such as: “Menzgold’s business is legit”, “No Menzgold, no vote”, “Leave NAM1 alone”, “Stop the witch-hunt”, “Ghanaians love Menzgold”, among others.
“We are here to lend our support to your good cause. You are fighting a good fight,” the chief of the area told the youth.
Menzgold on Wednesday September 12 announced that it was temporarily halting its extra value payments and any other business related to its Gold Vault Market.
