Bundesliga side SC Paderborn has released the Ghanaian winger, Christopher Antwi-Adjei to join the Black Stars ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa on Thursday.
Antwi-Adjei after not being able to acquire his Ghanaian passport in order to join the Black Stars for the qualifiers has acquired the documentation in order to join the Black
He was expected to acquire the required documents which will enable him come to Ghana this week but bureaucracy in securing his passport.
“In an intensive dialogue with the authorities, all those involved were finally able to find a solution,” the SCP said.
The 25-year-old will now travel to the country for the qualifiers, however, he is unlikely to feature for coach Kwesi Appiah’s side on Thursday at the Cape Coast stadium.
Ghana will travel to São Tomé and Príncipe to face them in their second Group C game after the game against South Africa.
