Frank Feng, born in early 60s last century in Shaoxing, hometown of Lu Xun, pioneer of China’s New Cultural Revolution. Nothing similar to the Great Writer, but inherited a lot from A Q, master of China’s narcissist.
In 1980, entered Beijing Foreign Languages Institute as the best examinee of Shuren (Lu Xun again) Middle School. Four-year college education taught me to speak from Shaoxing local language to Putonghua, China’s national official language, and then to English, the most popular international language in the world nowadays.
Between 1984 and 1989, I worked in Xinhua News Agency as an information collector, reporter, editor and administrator as well. In 1989, allured by material interests, I abandoned the lofty job of journalism to engage in international trade.
In the following decade, I made a lot of U.S. dollars for China National Packaging Import and Export Corporation but earning a little RMB for myself, traveling to a lot of places but not Africa, holding a lot of posts but not General Manager. When“THE WORLD”was born in late 2000, I joined the team and now act as a coordinator, reporter and sometimes a translator.
