Multiple award winning hip life singer, Czar says investing money in business is more lucrative than music in Ghana.
In an interview with Sammy Flex, host of Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM, he adverted that Ghanaian musicians, as compared to those in other countries are struggling.
“The music industry in this country is not rewarding at all. Most of our artistes are not as rich as they should be. It is better to invest in business than music in Ghana”, he said.
He further indicated that, in Nigeria, all the big names in the music business are affluent, with properties within the country and beyond, but that is not the case in Ghana.
The musician, who has decided to quit commercial music has ventured into electrical business and according to him, he is able to make ends meet.
He bitterly complained about the financial state of some veteran musicians in the country after their music career, and alluded that the music industry is not financially beneficial.
“Some of our fathers and mothers in this industry sometimes find it hard to feed themselves once they stop doing music. I know of some veterans who solicit for funds before fending for themselves¨, he concluded.
Czar has churned out some popular tunes as Araba Lawson, Mercy Lokko and a host of other features.
