New Ghana striker Okyere Kwasi Wriedt netted his 22nd goal of the season for Bayern Munich II in Sunday after scoring in their 3-1 home win over Seligenporten in the Regionalliga Bavaria.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring for Tim Walter’s side in the 11th minute at the Stadtisches Stadion an der Grunwalder StraBe.
He has now scored 6 goals in his last 6 games and finished just four goals shy of the eventual goal king winner who netted 26 goals.
The visitors levelled the scoring but Bayern came back strongly in the second half to win the tie emphatically.
Okyere met with Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko last month and held talks for a Ghana invitation.
Bayern Munich have confirmed the striker has been handed a call up to play for the Black Stars in their international friendlies against Japan and Iceland.
