Artistes Without Booking Agents Are Crippled – Holdbrook-Smith


Music booking legend Paa K. Holdbrook-Smith, has pointed out that musicians without booking agents are crippled.

In an interview with Sammy Flex on the topic, “How important is a booking agent to an artiste?”, he made asserted the important roles these agents play in the career of artistes.

“Unfortunately, the role of a booking agent in this part of the world is mostly underrated. Because little or nothing, is known about our contribution to an artiste’s career. If an artiste does not have a booking agent, he or she is crippled”, he stated.

According to him, the role of a booking agent is, but not limited to finding platforms for artistes to perform. He said some booking agents also undertake intensive promotional works for some musicians within and outside the shores of the country.

Paa K. Holdbrook-Smith has worked with several Ghanaian veterans in the music industry and hopes to work with the likes of, Yaa Yaa, Adoma, Trigmatic, Manifest and Stonebwoy.
