A communication team member of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hajia Maria Dzifa Ibrahim, has taken a swipe at President Akufo Addo describing him as corrupt.
Contributing during a discussion on Zylofon Fm ́s current affairs program, Ghana Agenda, which is hosted by Kwame Ampadu, Hajia Mariam said, the inability of the president to prosecute some of his appointees for alleged malfeasance in their functions, has placed the presidency in a bad light .
̈ ̈There are so many alleged reported cases of corruption which the president is accused of using his capacity to clear some of the appointees, who are accused of being neck-in-deep in such cases ̈
Some of the corrupt cases the NDC usually refer to are the botched PDS deal, the BOST contaminated deal, Cash for Seats saga and many others.
Hajia Mariam and the NDC are therefore calling on the President to prosecute and jail all those involved in the alleged acts of corruption.
