Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown, popularly known as “Akuapem Polo” has disclosed that despite ten years in the movie industry, she only gained recognition after she became loud.
Akuapem Polo told Arnold Elavanyo Mensah in an interview on Vibes In 5 that after struggling for recognition for years, Ghanaians gave her attention after her controversies begun.
She indicated that, everyone has a way of attaining their goals, and that was her way to achieving hers.
“I have been in this industry for ten years but people knew who I was within six months of noise making”, she mentioned.
Rosemond further pointed out that, though Ghanaians think of her as a fool, she has been able to reap fully the fruits of her folly.
“They call me foolish but look at where I am today. I wear expensive clothes and I am recognized nationwide”, she stated.
According to her, she is not fazed by insults and backlash from colleagues in the media, so long as her current “personality” ensures she gets gigs to help make ends meet.
“I am not bothered by critics because the more they hate on me, the more my popularity grows”, she added.
