Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah has revealed that he joined Empoli to secure more playing time ahead of AFCON 2019.
Acquah, 26, joined switched camp from Torino to Serie A returnees Empoli in a one-year loan deal.
“I have signed a year loan deal with Empoli. I chose Empoli because I want to get more playing time ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and I want to work hard to get a call up.” Afriyie Acquah said.
“My target is to work hard so that I would get a call up into 2019 AFCON Squad and I know I will get a very good deal to the English Premier League after the season,,“ Afriyie Acquah exclusively told Zylofon FM.
Afriyie Acquah featured 71 times and managed to hit the back of the net five times during his three years with ‘The Bulls’.
