Popular South African rapper, Nasty C says Africa music is taking over world music. He made this assertion when he took his turn on popular entertainment program, Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM.
“African music is been recognized now. We are gaining grounds and it’s a good feeling. Hence, I want us in Africa doing music to collaborate, and do more because this will push us up there”, he said.
The hip hop sensation who delivered an outstanding performance at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, in a chat with Sammy Flex, says he wants to collaborate with a number of Ghanaian artistes.
Since his arrival, Nasty C has recorded songs with Kojo Cue, Kuami Eugene, Shaker and Stonebuoy. However, he is still hoping to work with more artistes such as Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.
“I will come back to Ghana to work on more songs with other artistes. I have been to the studio with some of them but I still want to do more”, he told Sammy Flex.
The BET awards nominee also announced that he will be holding one of his concerts in Ghana, this, according to him is part of his initiative to blend African music.
He further explained that since African music is gaining grounds, he is encouraging African musicians to work together to project the continent on the world music map.
